BEN ORLOV
Legal Assistant
Ben was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Eugene, OR in 2019 to attend the University of Oregon where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Legal Studies and Sociology. In college, Ben was also a proud member of the Oregon Marching Band where he played trombone and served as Band Council President during his senior year.
His first job back in high school was working as a camp counselor during summers, which is where he developed a strong appreciation for working with young people from diverse backgrounds and learning about their unique experiences. From there, he had multiple jobs at the UO working at the Business Affairs Office and Board of Trustees Office. After college he worked as a legal assistant at a midsize business law firm based in Eugene.
Ben believes the law is a powerful tool for change and appreciates that Our Children’s Trust understands the urgency of the climate crisis. He enjoys working with youth and hearing their unique stories of how climate change is impacting their lives.
In his spare time, Ben loves cooking, hiking, and spending time with his partner, Mason.
