Cassandra Eastburn

Operations Assistant

Cassandra was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, but lived in Tampa, FL most of her life, until she moved to Arkansas where she met her spouse, and now they live in Eugene, OR. She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Journalism & Communications, which she has enjoyed utilizing in her most recent corporate roles. While working with Surterra Wellness, a startup company in Florida, she put out corporate communications, created engaging content, and kept employees informed. Cassandra has also worked as a teacher and had the unique opportunity to partner with local nonprofit organizations so that her students could gain real-world experiences using the technology they learned to use throughout the year.

Fighting climate change is very important to Cassandra — it’s something that she’s always wanted to dedicate more time to, so joining the team at Our Children’s Trust and applying the many skills she’s gained over the years is an exciting career change for her.

Cassandra is still an avid photographer as well as a fiber artist specializing in loom weavings and mixed-media embroidery. Nurturing her creative side is vital to her, so engaging in these pursuits brings her much joy. Collecting art and nerdy memorabilia is also something that Casandra and her husband love doing together.
