Dallin R.

Age: 20 | Hometown: Riverton, UTah

Dallin has long been an avid participant in outdoor sports and recreation. However, when Dallin spends time outdoors or participates in sports and outdoor activities, he often experiences difficulty breathing because of dangerous air quality.

In 2020, Dallin experienced respiratory symptoms exacerbated by dangerous air quality so severe that he was immobile for a month, unable to walk ten feet without feeling sick and losing his breath. The climate crisis weighs on him and stands as a constant stressor, making it difficult to think about other things.

Dallin is committed to climate advocacy and has obtained his Bachelor's degree in economics. On a professional level, he hopes to help show the economic need to transition away from fossil fuels. When it’s safe enough for him go outside without experiencing adverse health effects from heat, pollen, and air pollution, he often carpools or walks to reduce air pollution.
