This has been another legacy year for Our Children’s Trust and our groundbreaking work across the globe. Our Children’s Trust works for children. We are driven to leave a lasting legacy of climate protection, because we want to make sure the world is a safe place for Genesis, Pahonu and Grace’s generation, for our children’s children’s children.
With your support we will address the urgent and monumental challenge of the climate emergency. 100% of our budget is supported by people like you – with no funding from our legal cases. Donations help us provide free legal representation and unwavering support to our youth plaintiffs—young leaders who share a love of nature, a love of home and drive hope in action.
We need your support. Make a tax-deducible gift today.
If you have a question or would like assistance, please contact us at

Invest in Our
Children’s Future
Our work will be achieved when there is universal recognition of children’s climate rights by courts around the world and children’s fundamental rights to life on this planet are protected.
CHAMPION YOUTH CLIMATE RIGHTS
When you become a fundraising Champion, you make this work possible. Create a personalized peer-to-peer fundraising page and inspire your network to join the fight for a livable future. This grassroots effort fuels youth-driven legal action, ensuring young leaders have the tools to hold governments accountable for climate justice. Every page shared brings new donors into the movement—75% of gifts come from first-time supporters. Together, we can build youth power and drive systemic, durable change. Create your page today and help secure a safe, thriving world for future generations.
Sustaining Donor Program
Recurring donors provide a source of stability, sustainability and strength.
When you become a monthly sustainer, your donation to Our Children’s Trust is ongoing until you say otherwise. Your credit or debit card will automatically be billed each month.
You power our campaigns and litigation process from investigation to pleadings to discovery to pre-trial to settlement to trial to appeal. It is our sustaining donors that power the next wave of cases. You lift the inspirational voices and stories of our youth plaintiffs and move hearts and minds around the globe. Driving lasting change with the power of communication and democracy building.
When you commit to a monthly donation of $10 or more to Our Children’s Trust before December 31, you can receive a set of “We believe” postcards that feature our youth plaintiffs ready to mail to family and friends to learn how together we can secure children’s climate rights.

BENEFITS
As a sustaining donor, we’ll send occasional updates, breaking news, invitations, and more. At the end of each calendar year, we’ll send you a year-end tax statement with a convenient summary of your contributions during the year. Sustaining donors will receive an annual survey to drive our programming.
You’re invited to launch a new series with us. As a sustaining donor you have a front row seat to meet our team with a multi-faceted curriculum to learn about Our Children’s Trust. The 2025 curriculum will focus on our three organizational goals:
SCIENCE-POWERED SOLUTIONS
Our in-house Senior Climate Scientist Anders Carlson, PhD—a glacial geologist and paleoclimatologist—will translate today’s research and what it means to achieve earth’s energy balance. Our Deputy Director, Global Strategy, Kelly Matheson will detail why science is at the center of climate litigation to secure human rights around the globe.
YOUTH-POWERED LITIGATION
Our Co-Executive Director Mat dos Santos—a civil and human rights champion—will introduce climate litigation and strategy. Deputy Director, US Strategy, Andrea Rodgers—an environmental lawyer—will illuminate how the climate crisis impacts her present-day clients.
DEMOCRACY-POWERED FUTURE
Our Government Affairs Attorney Liz Lee will provide an overview of our campaign with policymakers on Capitol Hill and share her passion to diversify leadership within the climate movement. Our Chief Communications Officer Emily Goetz will engage partners in a dynamic discussion about the influence of their voices and advocacy to power our democracy.
We’ll send invitations to our sustaining donor community throughout the year.

QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a distribution of funds from your IRA (other than a SEP or SIMPLE IRA) to a qualified charitable organization, such as Our Children’s Trust.
Because the gift goes directly to the charity without passing through your hands, the dollar amount of the gift may be excluded from your taxable income up to a maximum of $100,000 annually, with some exceptions.
To learn more about QCDs, please visit IRS.gov, contact your IRA trustee or speak to your financial advisor.
