EMILY GOETZ
Chief Communications Officer
Emily leads Our Children’s Trust’s communications, engagement and advocacy program, working with youth plaintiffs, partners, and our legal and leadership teams to help deliver constitutional wins for future generations. Emily has spent her career working with leaders, organizations, and within initiatives and campaigns to create positive social change. She joins Our Children’s Trust following fourteen years in community-driven communications and campaign work for the nation’s leading social justice consultancy.
As COO of Pyramid, Emily led coalition and community-driven campaigns to count historically undercounted communities in the 2020 Census; turn out more than 85,000 people to the March of Silence, honoring Black lives lost in June of 2020 in Seattle, and in the years to follow, supported Black Lives Matter Seattle King-County and the Washington Black Lives Matter Alliance in passing historic legislation in Washington state; to increase understanding of the root causes of homelessness and grow support for solutions, and inspire investment in a multi-racial democracy.
Emily serves on the board of p:ear, based in Portland, Oregon and was the recipient of the Portland Business Journal 40 under 40 Award for her work training local businesses on social responsibility. Emily currently lives in Seattle, WA.
