Our Children’s Trust is a non-profit public interest law firm that provides strategic, campaign-based legal services to youth from diverse backgrounds to secure their legal rights to a safe climate. We represent and support young people in global legal efforts to secure their binding and enforceable legal rights to a healthy atmosphere and stable climate, based on the best available science. Since 2010, we have represented and/or supported young people in youth-led climate change legal actions in all 50 states and in countries around the world.
Becoming a youth plaintiff on climate change legal actions at a state, national, or global level would mean joining young people from around the world who are standing up to protect their rights to a climate system on which their lives depend. These youth-led legal actions, supported and/or represented by Our Children's Trust, address the climate crisis by demanding that the courts protect the constitutional rights of youth by seeking comprehensive, systemic, science-based government action to stabilize the Earth’s climate system and reduce atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide to safe levels for current and future generations.
If you’re between the ages of 8-18 and want to learn more about new potential youth-led legal actions represented or supported by Our Children’s Trust, and what it would mean to sign on as a plaintiff, please fill out the below fields. Information provided in response to this document will be kept confidential, however submission of any information does not create an attorney‑client relationship. Our Children’s Trust will only establish an attorney-client relationship through a signed retainer agreement.
