Paulina Schwartz

Law Clerk

Paulina grew up living in Chicago, Scottsdale, and Dusseldorf Germany, but has now lived in Vancouver for six years. She spends her time between Vancouver and Berkeley, CA to spend time with her family.

Paulina has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and is currently a rising 2L at Georgetown Law. She started her career working in local politics in Vancouver, first as an advisor to a city council member and later as mayoral campaign staff. After her first year of college, she realized that electoral politics was not how she wanted to affect change and set her sights on law school.

She is excited to join Our Children’s Trust because she has always held a deep love for the natural environment, which grew into a kind of devotion when she moved to the Pacific Northwest. After experiencing some of the worst heat waves and wildfire seasons the region has seen, she has become all too familiar with climate anxiety and grief. At Our Children’s Trust, she looks forward to turning her climate anxiety into climate action to secure the right to a healthy environment for current and future generations.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, bouldering, vegetarian cooking, and spending time with good friends. She also enjoys foraging for wild mushrooms and berries.
