MARTHA BOBEN

Law Clerk

Martha Boben is a 3L at UC Berkeley School of Law. She earned her B.A. at Bowdoin College with a major in Earth and Oceanographic Science and minor in Mathematics. After spending her undergraduate years learning about the science and harms of climate change, Martha decided to pursue a law degree to develop a skill set to fight for solutions to climate change and environmental degradation. Between her undergraduate studies and law school, Martha worked as a children’s ski instructor at Big Sky Resort in the winter and an ecology field technician in Yellowstone National Park for the NEON Project in the summer. During her time at Berkeley Law, Martha worked with Berkeley Law’s Environmental Law Clinic to advocate for environmental justice communities in East Oakland overburdened by pollution. Martha has clerked at the Alaska Department of Law’s Natural Resources section and WildEarth Guardians’ Wild Rivers program. In her free time, Martha loves trail running, skiing, biking, and floating down rivers.
