February 1, 2024: Attorneys for the Youth Plaintiffs File a Response  

Attorneys for the Juliana youth plaintiffs filed an opposition to the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) motion for a stay pending a petition for a Writ of Mandamus, pointing out that during the unprecedented 8+ year duration of this constitutional climate case, and increasingly over the years since their trial was taken away in 2018, the 21 youth plaintiffs have suffered considerable mental and physical harm due to the worsening climate crisis.
